Until now, HOBC lived only on our own proof-of-work network for home solo miners. wHOBC is the bridged BEP-20 version of HOBC, so it can trade on the wider crypto market. Every wHOBC is backed 1:1 by real HOBC locked in our official, on-chain HobbyHash bridge. 1 HOBC = 1 wHOBC.

wHOBC can only be created by the bridge contract when native HOBC is locked 1:1. No wallet — not even the team — can mint freely.

Honest disclosure: wHOBC is a wrapped token: mintable by the bridge, pausable, and multisig-controlled. Ownership is intentionally retained (not renounced) so the bridge can be paused in an emergency to protect users. There is no function to drain funds, change balances, or block selling.

Early launch: wallet may show $0 USD

wHOBC is new on BNB Smart Chain. MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and BscScan often show $0 USD or hide the token until you import it correctly — even when your coins are real.

  • A $0 USD value on BscScan or in your wallet does not mean zero wHOBC. It usually means no USD price feed is listed there yet.
  • Check the token balance on BscScan or our live market page to see your real wHOBC amount and USD price.
  • wHOBC uses 8 decimals (not 18). Importing with the wrong decimal count can make your balance look empty.
  • Some wallets drop custom tokens after updates. Activity may show transfers even when the Tokens tab does not.

Add wHOBC to your wallet manually

  1. Switch your wallet to BNB Smart Chain (chain ID 56).
  2. Remove any old wHOBC import if you added one before with the wrong decimals.

Is public genesis and merkle data OK? Yes. Genesis block hash, merkle root, timestamp, nonce, and bits are public consensus parameters — every HOBC node uses them to validate the chain. Bitcoin and other UTXO networks publish the same data. This is not a private key, wallet seed, or RPC credential.
