How the HOBC web wallet works

From signup to your first withdrawal, the flow is designed to stay straightforward while keeping custody risks visible.

Create your account

Register with your name, email, and a strong password (12+ characters). Agree to the Terms of Service to continue.

Verify your email

Confirm your email with the verification code we send. Your account stays inactive until verification succeeds.

Receive HOBC

Open Receive in your dashboard, create a receive wallet, and copy the address—or scan the QR code. Use it for mining, trading, or incoming transfers.

Withdraw on-chain

When you are ready to move coins off the custodial balance, submit a withdrawal to an external HOBC address you control. Track status and txids in Transactions.

Deposits

Deposit addresses are generated by the custodial wallet backend. Status and balances update from real chain confirmations only—never from estimates or placeholders.

  • Each receive wallet gets its own HOBC deposit address from the custodial backend.
  • Incoming payments are detected by the chain scanner and credited after the required confirmations.
  • Receive wallets are labels for organizing payments—they share one spendable account balance.
  • For solo mining, put your HOBC address before the dot in your worker name: HOBC_ADDRESS.worker1

Withdrawals

Withdrawals move HOBC from your custodial balance to an external address you control. Limits, verification steps, and broadcast status are shown honestly—no pending fiction.

  • Withdrawals send HOBC from the custodial pool to an external address you specify.
  • Amounts must fall within published minimum and maximum limits.
  • SMS or authenticator verification may be required when those features are enabled on your account.
  • A txid appears only after the withdrawal is actually broadcast to the HOBC network.

Security & custody

Protect your account and understand what custodial storage means before you deposit.

  • Registration requires email verification before your account is activated.
  • Optional SMS and authenticator (TOTP) add extra steps for login, recovery, and withdrawals.
  • Password recovery verifies email first, then SMS and authenticator if you enabled them.
  • The web wallet is custodial: HobbyHash Coin controls keys until you withdraw to your own address.
  • Do not store large long-term holdings in a custodial web wallet—use the Windows standalone wallet instead.
